Cajun Moon Nugget Of Gold

Pretty in Pearl

Cajun Moon - registration #20902190, barn name Kizzie, is a pretty and petite 14.2 hand Perlino mare. As a registered Tennessee Walking Horse mare, she has very forward and comfortable flat and running walk gaits and even singlefoots like a dream, too. With this sweet, meet-you-at-the-gate girl, we've enjoyed trails across streams, over bridges, over logs, and through tunnels. She takes them all in stride with eager curiosity.

A 2022 Buckskin Filly Arrives

On April 21st 2022, Miss Kizzie delivered a stunning filly we call Glory (registered name Glorious Moon Nugget of Gold). Due to a variation on the Agouti gene she received from her mother, she ended up a rare sooty buckskin color. Feisty, bouncy, and gorgeous, Glory is an absolute blast to watch as she frolicks in her paddock. Glory is the daughter of an outside stallion, and we look forward to incorporating her into our breeding program when she's ready. In the meantime, we're enjoying getting to work with this smart, energetic girl and will enjoy watching her grow and learn. Kizzie is open, and we plan to breed her to our stallion, Splashed With Champagne, for a 2024 foal.

Gam's Champagne Lily

Sassy and Smart

Gam's Champagne Lily - registration #20804280 - barn name, Gem - is an energetic and intelligent Tennessee Walking Horse mare. This stunning 15-hand girl is so well put together with an absolutely amazing gait. Add in her stunning classic champagne coloring, and you can understand why we call her Gem.

Meeting of the Champagnes

While Miss Gem came to us a little underweight, a vet check and teeth float combined with several months of plenty of feed has fixed her right up. We had the marvelous opportunity of talking to one of her prior owners and learned all about Gem's training before an unfortunate turn of events had her sitting as a pasture pet for several years. While we do intend to breed her to our Champ for a 2024 foal, we still look forward to getting the chance to revisiting all aspects of what this amazing girl has to offer.

In Dreams

Shades of Gray

We're so pleased our TWH mare In Dreams - registration #20301616 - ended up being such an amazing addition to our breeding program. Barn name 'Pepper', this sturdy 15.1 hand mare has a friendly, exuberant, meet-you-at-the-gate personality. Not to mention, her whinnies of greeting ring across the yard any time she spots us. While she will stand forever when being groomed, once you get in the saddle, she is very forward and ready for action. Her gaits and attitude make her an absolute blast out on the trails.

A Little Time off After her last Foal

On June 7th 2022, Miss Pepper blessed us with the healthy birth of a stunning gray tobiano colt that we've dubbed Zeus (Grayscale Dreams Of Zeus). He's an amazingly well-gaited little firecracker that comes running for pets and rubs. We're keeping this stunning sweetie to train and replace as I've had to retire my trail gelding (he'll have fun living his life as a weanling-sitter). After giving us two foals in a row, Miss Pepper has been enjoying a much-needed year off, and we've been having fun out on the trails helping her lose the baby weight. She's such a wonderful girl. In a couple of months, we're excited to breed her again and see what amazing foal she'll create next.

Flame's Irrestible Force

Sweet, Kind, & A Joy To Ride

We are so very blessed to add registered TWH mare Flame's Irrestible Force - registration #20502082 - to our breeding program. This sweet girl - barn name Muffin - is so well trained and has such a kind, laid-back personality that she was used as a kids lesson horse for several years. Of course, at 14.2 hands, that's about the perfect size for new riders, too. I've had so much fun checking out the trails on this fantastically-gaited and solid-minded girl.

Bred For a 2023 Foal

Miss Muffin (left) loves water play, especially on these hot summer days. Our gelding, Doc, stands next to her and takes advantage of her splashes. This past winter, we enjoyed her relaxed and calm attitude as she led the way down the trail. Muffin has been bred to our stallion, Splashed With Champagne, for a 2023 foal.

Lily's Supreme Mazama

Cute, Friendly, and Eager to Learn

In July 2020, our Miss Lily (Tracey's Easter Lily, who's now enjoying the retired life) gave birth to this gorgeous filly, Lily's Supreme Mazama - registration #22001863. Our Miss Maza is growing up so fast. She hangs out with our geldings and Muffin, having learned how to be in a herd as well as the respect necessary to stay off our hot fences. Maza comes running whenever she sees us and loves attention, making her wonderfully easy to handle.

Time to Start more Training

Already turning three! This spring, we'll start leading Miss Maza down trails and exposing her to obstacles. Later this year, we'll put a few short rides on her. Maza loves grooming time and accepts a bareback pad, and with her smart mind, we know she'll pick up everything swiftly. We look forward to enjoying Maza's exuberance, introducing her to trail work for a couple of years, before incorporating her into our breeding program.
